Best Practice

Standards Wise International is supported by a formal Strategic Advisory Panel with broad international expertise, providing governance oversight. All panel members are former and current directors of the International Association of Homes and Services for the Ageing (IAHSA), now renamed as the Global Ageing Network (GAN). The panel provides leadership, financial and academic expertise to the group.

Standards Wise International’s network of experts has direct experience in developing and reviewing Standards in the following areas:

Seniors Living, ISO 9001, Aged Care, Multigenerational living, Disability, Mental Health, Primary Health, services to Indigenous Communities, LGBTQI, Families and Youth.

A specific example includes the preparation of numerous design guidelines for the Australian federal government, peak industry bodies and organisations looking to standardise their approach across national property portfolios. These included the Australian Peak association for Retirement Living, PCRL and so on.

Who we are

Standards Wise International is a consortium of world class experts based in the UK and other countries around the world with proven experience in undertaking projects in Senior Living and Human Services. We are a Team of experts focused on a customer driven ideology and helping organisations to move from ‘good’ to ‘high functioning’ through re-framing their approach.

The Teams experience encompasses not-for-profit organisations, government at different levels, for profit companies, developers, investors, peak bodies and tertiary institutions at the highest levels. Their knowledge on national and international trends, models, experiences, legislation and problem solving is invaluable to any project. We all share a passion to develop and successfully implement creative solutions to the housing needs, ageing process, care, lifestyle and integration of generations.

Our approach brings together a highly experienced ‘think tank’ to initially explore opportunities/projects/proposals to offer a solution(s) and then narrow this down to a team of experts matched to your organisation/government department/company who work with you for the entirety or in defined stages.

Whether it is quality, customer service, models of care, staffing, governance, risk management, compliance and service delivery, the principles we apply are consistent with our approach.

Standards Wise International applies the principles to the following sectors:

  • Aged Care
  • Health
  • Community
